Therapy is about relieving pain and making change.

You may be searching this site-because you  are looking for answers. Something isn't working in your life and the pain or disappointment you feel in your relationships, your work, or your life journey, are urging you to  do something about it. Therapy is a space to examine the pain and learn what it has to teach you. From there we can work together to make the changes neccesary to create the life you desire. As your therapist, I assist you with this through a process of reflection, examination and compassionate listening.

Together, we examine the experiences, perceptions, and beliefs that are unique to you. These inform your self image, your personality, your relationship patterns and your beliefs about the world and your relationship to it.  These have become both strengths to be admired, as well as wounds that need protecting.

Whatever you have encountered in your life so far, you have found ways to adapt, to thrive, and to survive. You may have also found yourself stuck or stagnant. You may have patterns that are more harmful now than helpful.

Therapy is a place to examine what changes you want and what would need to happen in order to create change. Through therapy, you have a safe and affirming space in which you can take a deeper look at your life path.

As a therapist, I work from a humanistic, feminist and lesbian affirming perspective. I draw on a both traditional psychotherapy models  as well as experiential techniques to build a therapeutic environment for each of my clients based upon their individual needs and goals. I am committed to equipping you to build on your strengths and  to helping you identify and achieve your life goals. 


Therapy is about becoming empowered.

Truly, the goal of therapy, and any practice of self discovery, is about finding your true voice. By letting go unhelpful beliefs, expectations or judgements towards yourself and seeking instead a more authentic expression of who you are, you empower yourself towards change. This gives you not only an immediate improvement in your quality of life, but a higher level of consciousness and self knowledge that can bring more happiness and fullfillment throughout your life. This is a tremendous gift to give yourself.
