I'd like to help. I'm Lisa Maurel, MFT. As a Lesbian Affirming Therapist, I'm here to provide a uniquely safe place for you to tell your story and find the answers within yourself that will enable you to conquer the challenges that you face. As a kind of guide on your journey, I am here to listen, reflect and offer tools and resources that will assist you along the way.


I've been in practice for 14 years. I specialize in helping lesbian women and their partners create the lives they want through the powerful work of therapy.  Therapy is a powerful tool for change. Let me explain how therapy can help you achieve YOUR goals.

 
I listen to you in a way that helps you more fully hear and understand yourself. Together, we dig down and find what it is that you really want to change, what's hurting, what's not working. Facing pain isn't easy. But if we are willing, we can harness the power of our intention and create positive change. This allows us to live our lives more fully and with more joy. 

If you are in pain, unhappy, depressed or experiencing a lot of conflict in your relationship, that is a message that something isn't working.  Now, ask yourself:
 
Do I want to continue to live with this pain?
What have I tried to relieve the pain? Has it worked?
